All custom sales are final. We will always work to resolve defects in material or workmanship. Since wood is an inherently variable product with natural defects (colors, grain pattern, knots, splits, voids, etc.), there is a limited amount of control we have over the raw product, but will make efforts to stabilize and protect the finished product with standard industry practices. This includes the use of glues, fillers and other techniques.
All wood products are variable in color and grain pattern. Some product pictures will show variations in color and pattern than what is delivered. While knots and other variations in wood products are generally avoided or minimized, they may be present when there is no structural or other integrity issue at the location of the variation.
Some wood species are known by multiple common names and vary by region. We are happy to work with a requested species, but generally use what is readily available that matches the general species name. In other words, when walnut, oak or maple is specified, we will always use a version of walnut, oak or maple. If english walnut, white oak or sugar maple is specified, we will use english walnut, white oak or sugar maple. In some cases, this may result in a price change if the requested species is difficult to obtain or more expensive than the general species.
Please contact us if there are any issues with your product and we will work with you on resolving to your satisfaction.
