All custom sales are final. We will always work to resolve defects in material or workmanship. Since wood is an inherently variable product with natural defects (colors, grain pattern, knots, splits, voids, etc.), there is a limited amount of control we have over the raw product, but will make efforts to stabilize and protect the finished product with standard industry practices. This includes the use of glues, fillers and other techniques.
All wood products are variable in color and grain pattern. Some product pictures will show variations in color and pattern than what is delivered. While knots and other variations in wood products are generally avoided or minimized, they may be present when there is no structural or other integrity issue at the location of the variation. Some wood species are known by multiple common names and vary by region. We are happy to work with a requested species, but generally use what is readily available that matches the general species name. In other words, when oak or maple is specified, we will always use a version of oak or maple . If white oak or sugar maple is specified, we will use white oak or sugar maple.
